Where is the Asia Cup 2025 trophy right now? Big news

Despite winning the Asia Cup, India did not take the trophy. Where is the trophy now? An important update has come forward.

Recently, the Asia Cup concluded with India’s ninth title win, but also with some of the most heated controversies in cricket history. Following the tournament, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is holding a meeting today to discuss the disputes India created, which many say went against the spirit of sportsmanship.

The meeting, chaired by ACC President Mohsin Naqvi, will have representation from all member boards. Sources say India will lodge a protest at the meeting over not receiving the Asia Cup 2025 trophy.

The Indian cricket team, reportedly on the instructions of the Modi government, refused to accept the trophy despite winning the tournament. This has brought embarrassment not only in the cricketing world but also inside India, where the team and the board are facing strong criticism.

Naturally, people have started asking: if India did not receive it, then where is the Asia Cup trophy now? ARY News sports reporter Shahid Hashmi revealed in a program that the trophy is currently in Dubai.

He added that the ACC meeting will be held at 2 PM UAE time, where India’s attitude and refusal to collect the trophy will be taken up seriously. He further said Pakistan enjoys the support of other Asian cricket boards. Even within India, public voices, including those of Shashi Tharoor and Kapil Dev, are criticizing the team, saying that if they can play against Pakistan, they should also show sportsmanship by shaking hands and accepting the trophy.

According to him, the trophy is in Dubai, and the 2 PM meeting will determine whether India accepts it or not. In his view, India is unlikely to backtrack, and the Asian board will emphasize that the ACC President traditionally presents the trophy.

Former Pakistan cricketer Tauseef Ahmed said that Modi’s interference is ruining cricket and has brought disrepute within India itself. He stressed that in the ACC meeting, all boards should unite on a plan to put an end to India’s high-handedness.

Jokingly, Tauseef added that if India finally agrees to take the trophy, Pakistan should make it a condition that the handover happens next to an F-16 fighter jet.
